Monika Kilnarova, a Czech professional tennis player, has claimed six titles on the ITF circuit. Her career reached a notable peak when she attained a WTA singles ranking of No. 276 on June 18, 2018.
Hailing from Ostrava, Czech Republic, where she was born in 1999, Monika is a right-handed player who utilizes a two-handed backhand. She commenced her tennis journey early in life and has excelled on both clay and hard surfaces. Recognized as one of the top players in her country, she played a significant role in the Czech Republic’s triumph in the Junior Fed Cup in 2015.
Monika Kilnarova advanced to the quarter-finals of the European Junior Championships in 2016 and secured victories at the J2 Piestany Slovakia Cup for girls and the RPM Junior Open. That same year marked her debut on the ITF tour.
In 2017, she achieved her first ITF title by winning the $15,000 tournament in Tampere in July. Later in the year, she also triumphed at the $15,000 event in Mragowo, while finishing as a runner-up on three occasions.
In March 2018, Kilnarova claimed another $15,000 title at the W15 Heraklion tournament, culminating in her most significant achievement when she won the $25,000 W60+H Stare Splavy in June. This victory propelled her to her highest WTA ranking of No. 276. However, the year concluded on a less favorable note as she transitioned to higher-tier tournaments, suffering a first-round defeat at the $100,000 W100+H Dubai event in December. The subsequent two years saw a continuation of her struggles, as she frequently exited in the early rounds of competitions.
In 2021, Monika Kilnarova made a successful comeback. In March, she secured victory at the $15,000 W15 Monastir tournament, followed by another win in the same event in April.
