Ani Vangelova is a Bulgarian tennis player, who has a career-high ranking of No 685, achieved on May 8, 2017.
Ani Vangelova was born on July 14, 1993, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She started playing tennis as a kid and showed her great skills and talent. She won several junior tournaments in Bulgaria and the Balkans, before turning professional in 2009.
Ani Vangelova debuted in the ITF Circuit in 2009 at $10,000 Rousse (Bulgaria) and later competed at $10,000 Dobrich (Bulgaria). In both tournaments, she lost in the first round.
During the next years, she played at the ITF Circuit tournaments in Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, and Egypt mostly. She achieved her first professional win in 2011 at $10,000 Varna. In 2014, Ani Vangelova reached the quarter-finals of the $10,000 W15 Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) and $10,000 Sun City (South Africa). During the next season, she had two more quarter-finals in the ITF at $10,000 Antalya (Turkey).
In 2016, Ani Vangelova reached the semi-finals of the $10,000 Baku (Azerbaijan) and the quarter-finals of the $15,000 Nis (Serbia), $10,000 Cakovec (Croatia), and $10,000 W15 Antalya (Turkey).
She played her first final in 2018 at the $15,000 W15 Heraklion (Greece) but lost to Xenia Knoll (Switzerland). In 2019, she had another final at the $15,000 W15 Tabarka (Tunisia), losing to Eva Vedder (Netherlands).
Ani Vangelova continue playing entirely in the ITF Circuit during the next years in an attempt to win her first title. In 2022, she reached the quarter-finals at the $15,000 W15 Cairo (Egypt), $15,000 W15 Casablanca (Morocco), and $15,000 W15 Eldorado, Misiones (Argentina), but these were her biggest achievements.
Ani Vangelova is one of the most attractive and beautiful tennis players. Despite not having so much success at singles, she has several titles and finals at doubles in the ITF Circuit, winning $15,000 W15 Heraklion (Greece) in 2022. She has a great talent and for sure will reach her big success on the court very soon.
