Barbora Krejcikova is a Czech professional tennis player, overall twelve-time Grand Slam winner, former world number two in singles and world number one in doubles, when she spent nineteen weeks in this position in three seasons. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she became the Olympic champion in the women’s doubles with Katerina Siniakova. Both won the first Olympics gold medal for the Czech Republic in tennis.

At the French Open 2021, Barbora Krejcikova dominated the singles and, alongside Katerina Siniakova, the doubles, which Mary Pierce had last achieved in a single year in 2000. She won her second singles Grand Slam at Wimbledon 2024. She also triumphed with Katerina Siniakova at the French Open 2018, at Wimbledon 2018 and 2022, Australian Open 2022 and 2023, as well as the WTA Finals in 2021. With the title at the US Open 2022, they completed the career Grand Slam, the career Golden Slam and, as the first female couple in history, also completed the career Super Slam. They became the fifth pair of the open era with at least seven Grand Slam titles. In 2019, 2020 and 2021, she became the first player since Margaret Court’s 196-65 feat to win the mixed doubles Australian Open three times in a row.

From October 2018 to January 2019, Barbora Krejcikova was world number one in doubles, which she and Katerina Siniakova became the fifth and sixth Czech women, respectively the fortieth and forty-first players since the introduction of the classification in 1984. They thus formed the fourteenth pair at the top. She returned to the top of the doubles classification twice in the summer and fall of 2021. At the end of the 2023 season, Katerina Siniakova initiated the termination of their doubles cooperation. At the beginning of the 2024 season, her doubles partner was the German player Laura Siegemund.

In her career so far on the WTA Tour, Barbora Krejcikova won eight singles and nineteen doubles tournaments, including the singles at the Dubai Tennis Championships 2023 from the WTA 1000 category. In the WTA 125 series, she dominated the doubles in Limoges. Within the ITF circuit, she won fourteen titles in singles and nineteen in doubles. In the WTA rankings, she was ranked highest in singles at No 2 in February 2022 and No 1 in doubles in October 2018. In August 2023, Barbora Krejcikova established cooperation with Pavel Motl, with experience in American university tennis at Middle Tennessee State University. In the years 2014-2017 it was led by Jana Novotna, in 2018 by Petr Kovacka and in the period 2018-2023 by Ales Kartus.

Barbora Krejcikova made her debut in the Czech Billie Jean King Cup team in 2019 in Ostrava in the quarter-finals of the World Group against Romania, in which she lost the decisive doubles match to Katerina Siniakova. The Czechs left the matches defeated 2-3. In the 2018 Fed Cup, Barbora Krejcikova became a member of the winning team when she was first nominated for the Prague final against the United States, but did not play a single match. Until 2025, she started eight international matches in the competition with a record of 2-3 in singles and 3-2 in doubles.

In 2018, 2021 and 2022, she and Katerina Siniakova formed the WTA doubles pair of the year, and both also became ITF world champions. In 2021, she won the main category of the Czech tennis poll, the Golden Canary.
